Work Permit

Hello,
I was wondering if obtaining a work permit for a citizen of Canada will require the employee to have any special qualifications or if the applicant just simply has to be more qualified for the position?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Taylor,

In a way, yes, they will have to possess special qualifications – mainly to prove why they are being hired as opposed to a BVIslander. Like you say, it’s about being the most qualified for the position so these ‘special qualifications’ can either be certificated proof or simply a decision made by the employer after interviewing applicants, that external assistance (a Canadian) is required.
